Cooking Instructions - Pearl Milk Bubble Tea (Warm)

What's in your kit

- Brown Tapioca Pearls
- Milk Tea Powder
- Tea Bags
- Scoop

You'll also need

- 400ml serving glass
- Shaker / air-tight container (shop Shakers)
- Bubble tea straws (shop Straws)
- Your choice of sweetener if required

COOKING YOUR PEARLS

1. Add one level scoop of pearls to 4 cups (1 litre) of boiling water in a medium pot.

2. Stir gently, then cook for 2 minutes on high with the lid on.

3. Reduce heat to low. Cook for a further 18-20 minutes with the lid on, stirring occasionally.

TEST IF YOUR PEARLS ARE READY

4. Remove a pearl and rinse under cold water:
Warm drinks - pearls should be chewy and slightly firm to the bite.

5. Turn off the heat and leave pearls to sit in the pot with the lid on for a further 5 minutes.

CREATE YOUR MILK TEA

6. Brew 1 tea bag in 1 cup (250ml) of freshly boiled water. Infuse for 3-4 minutes.

7. Add 1/4 glass of room temperature water and the milk tea powder to your shaker/air-tight container.

IMPORTANT - Don't add the brewed tea (from step 6) yet, This is used in step 10.

Classic milk tea powder: 1 heaped scoop (40g)
Non-dairy milk tea powder: 1.5 scoops (45g)

8. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds.
Tip - Swirling the drink while it's still in the shaker will help dissolve any foam.

ASSEMBLE YOUR BUBBLE TEA!

9. Drain pearls and rinse well under cold water.

10. Add cooked pearls and the brewed tea to your serving glass.

11. Pour in the milk tea from your shaker.

12. Mix with your straw before drinking. If required add sweetener to taste.
Tip: Dissolve your sugar/sweetener in 2 tablespoons of hot water first to make it easier to mix into your bubble tea
